Maurice Forde founded Forde Windows and Remodeling, Inc. in 1987. Since then, the company has been recognized for its excellent contractor work, while Maurice has been elected to numerous leadership positions in the industry. Here’s a brief timeline of what Maurice has accomplished since he started FW&R.
- 2018 – Recertified Steve Johnson as CLC Certified Lead carpenter National Association of the Remodeling Industry
- 2018 – Recertified Maurice A Forde as CR Certified Remodeler National Association of the Remodeling Industry
- 2018 – Installation Masters Certified (AAMA) American Archictural Manufacturers Association, Three employees for the installation of Windows and Doors
- 2018 – Certified by Marvin Windows and Doors for the installation of Commercial Byfolding and MultiSlide Doors
- 2017 – Certified by EPA as Certified Firm for Lead Safe Remodeling
- 2017 – Certified two employees as certified renovators by EPA for Lead Safe Remodeling under the RRP Rule
- 2016 – All employees Osha 10 hour training class for Safety
- 2014 – All employees certified for suspended scaffolding and Pipe scaffolding erection and operation
- 2013 – Two employees Certified by Sealant Waterproofing and Restoration Institute for commercial caulking
- 2005 – Steve Johnson, employee at Forde Windows and Remodeling, Inc., achieves Employee of the Year Award from NARI of Greater Chicagoland
- 2005 – Maurice A. Forde, CR achieves Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler designation from NARI
- 2004 – Participated in Leadership Northbrook training program through the Northbrook Chamber

- 1996 – Received Excellence in Education award from National President for work on National Board
- 1995 – Elected NARI Chairman of the Education Committee
- 1994 – Elected National Board Rep to The National Association of the Remodeling Industry
- 1993 – Studied for and took the NARI Certified Remodeler exam. Passed being one of 950 CR’s in the country
- 1991 – Elected to NARI Local Board of Directors and chaired the Education committee
- 1990 – Joined the local Chicagoland chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI)
