At Forde Windows and Remodeling, Inc. (FW&R) we are always looking for new things to learn and ways to improve our craft. Recently, the FW&R crew went to Warroad, Minnesota to attend Marvin’s bifold and multi-slide door installation training. It was a blast; check out some of the photos from the training below!
At FW&R, we are always thinking ahead to better ourselves and keep up with new innovations and industry-leading developments. As such, we are now certified to install bifold and multi-slide doors thanks to the wonderful teachers at Marvin Windows!
Architects and designers continue to make larger windows and doors due to high consumer demand for those beautiful scenic views. As such, the larger windows and doors are much harder to install and require a higher level of installation knowledge! The products don’t get installed easy; you need a trained contractor to do it!
If you are in the need for a new beautiful multi-slide door, contact us to help with your project! We love to bring our client’s visions to life!

So far 2018 has some great styles and trends to keep up with. Our top 4 best trends are:
Color: Try black hues when choosing window frames. Nothing says clean and contemporary like white and black lines! When purchasing windows look at theThe trend can be very dramatic with black on black, or try black with white or natural trim to make it more of a farm-house feel!
Bigger and Brighter: Floor to ceiling windows in a square or rectangular shape will really scream modern! Architects and designers are shying away from arching windows and curvy shapes in 2018.
Indoor-Outdoor Connection: Now-a-days, a good indoor-outdoor connection is hot, and great for resale. Consider a large glass bifolding style sliding door to view and access your landscape. Or, even a beautiful French door surrounded by windows in your home!
High-End Woods: If you are looking for modern with a farm-house twist check out high end wood windows. Our favorites are white oak and mahogany!
